Camera

Camera will not operate.

Power is not turned on.

Press the power button (p. 42).

Memory card slot/battery
cover is open.

Confirm that the cover is securely
closed (p. 11).

Battery charge is low and
the camera will not
operate.
(“Change the battery
pack” message displays).

Insert a fully charged battery into the
camera (p. 10).

Use the AC Adapter Kit ACK-DC20
(sold separately) (p. 234).

Poor contact between
camera and battery
terminals.

Polish the terminals with a soft cotton
swab before charging or using the

Sounds come from the camera interior.
