௡ V are not interchangeable. DO NOT mix MERCON௡ and

MERCON

௡ V. Refer to your Scheduled Maintenance Guide to

determine the correct service interval.

Approximate dry capacity, includes cooler and tubes. Fluid level should

be checked by a qualified service technician.

Service refill capacity is determined by filling the transmission to the

bottom of the filler hole with the vehicle on a level surface.

Use of synthetic or synthetic blend motor oil is not mandatory. Engine

oil need only meet the requirements of Ford specification WSS-M2C929-a
(4.0L) or WSS-M2C930-A (4.6L) and the API Certification mark.
