Audio-in option for streaming audio

The CyberData Multicast Gateway is

designed to bridge the gap between

Analog PBX systems and IP based

paging systems.

Through a web based interface, the user

can program different Multicast broadcast

addresses. As an analog phone endpoint,

the Multicast Gateway answers like a

regular phone. By entering a DTMF tone

from the users handset, different

Multicast address can be selected. Once

selected, the user can page to different

zones via a Multicast RTP stream.

In the “Audio-IN” mode, line level audio

input is converted into a multicast

broadcast that can be used for

background music or other audio

sources.
