Shutdown Procedure For Servicing A Hard Drive/SSD

This section applies only to situations where the server module must be powered down to service a hard
drive/SSD. In many situations, the hard drive/SSD can be serviced while the server module is powered on.

CAUTION: If you need to power off the server module to service a hard drive/SSD, wait 30
seconds after the server module’s power indicator turns off before removing the hard drive/SSD.
Otherwise, the hard drive/SSD may not be recognized after it is reinstalled and the server module
is powered on again.

Configuring The Boot Drive

The drive or device from which the system boots is determined by the boot order specified in the System
