• To switch the playback side, set DIR to or

• To emphasize deep bass sound, press NORM/MEGA

BASS/GROOVE to select the desired mode. With each
press, the indication in the display change as follows:

MB (MEGA BASS): emphasizes deep bass sound
GRCXDVE: emphasizes deeper bass sound
NORM: off (normal)

• FX465 only: To listen to a tape recorded with the

Dolby* NR system, press DOLBY NR and will
appear during tape operations. To cancel the EK)LBY
NR function, press DOLBY to display IXl.

Notes

• When you set AVLS to LIMIT:

- the MEGA BASS effect is reduced.
- turn down the volume if the bass-boosted sound

becomes distorted or unstable.

• Do not open the cassette holder while the tape is

running.

U.S.A. model: Press BAND to select the
band (FMl, FM2, TV or AM).
Canada model: Press BAND to select the

band (FMl, FM2, FM3 or AM).

Each time you press the button, the display
changes.

digits change quickly. When you release the button
scanning begins and automatically stops when it
receives a station.

Note

If the reception is poor, the scanning may not stop
properly at the station.
