Playing a CD in a car
You
can play a CD in a car, using your Disanan on car battery.
You
can also use
it on house current, rechargeable battery and dry
batteries (see "Power sources" on the reverse side.)

Remove the CD while pressing the pivot.
Notes on display
• When you press Ml (when RESUME is
set to OFF), the total number oí tracks in
the CD and the total playing time appear
for about 2 seconds.
• E>uhng play, dw track nuotber and the
elapsed playing time of the current track
appear.

• During pause, the elapsed playing time
flashes in the display. ' '
• Between tracks, the time to the beginning
of the next track will appear with the
indication.
Iflumination of the display and the
buttons on the main unit
When using the unit on the AC power
adaptor or car battery, the di^lay and the
buttons are iliuminatad during play so that
you can check the display and dw location
of the buttons easily.
The display and the buttons are also
illuminated for about one minute in the
following cases;
• When you connect the AC power
adaptor or car battery cord
• When you open the Ud of the uiut
• When you stop play by pressing ■
• When the CO finishes playing.
If you want to turn off the illumination
right away, press ■.
Note on iilumination
When using the unit on the AC power
adaptor, illumination of the display and
the buttons may become dim during AMS
operation, etc., but this is not a
malfunction of the unit.
Notes on handling CDs
• To keep the CD dean, handle it by its
edge. Do not touch the surface.
• Do not stick paper or tape onto the CD.
• Do not expose the CD to direct sunlight
or heat sources such as hot air ducts. Do
not leave the CD in a car parked under
direct sunlight.
