Maintenance
To clean the lens
Clean the lens witt\ a lens cleaning kit KK-DMl.
To clean the casing
Use a soft cloth slightly moistened in water or a
mild detergent solution. Do not use alcohol,
benzine or thirmer.
Trpubleshooting
Should any problem persist after you have made
these checks, ccinsult your nearest Sony dealer.
The CD does not play or “no dt 5C“
appears In the display though a CD
is placed in the unit.
■* The CD is dirty or defective.
' " ■ » Insert the CD with tt»e label side up.
' 4 Moisture condensation has occurred.
Teave die unit aside for several hours until
die moisture evaporates.
4 The lens is dirty.
4 dose the lid of the unit and the battery
compartment firmly.
+ Make sure the batteries are inserted

^ Connect the AC, power adaptor to a wall
cmdet securely.
When you press Mi, “OO” appears in
the display for a moment, and
disappears. The CD does pot play.
4 Rechargeable battery or dry batteries are
xised up. Charge the rechargeable battery
or replace dry batteries with new ones.
No souncL or noise is heard.
4 Connect the plugs firmly.
4 Plugs are dirty. Clean the plugs witii a dry
soft cloth periodically.
“HI dc I n“ appears in the display.
4 Use only die supplied AC power adc^tor
or recommended AC power adaptor AC-
E45HG (not supplied).
“Hoi d“ appears in the display when
you press a button.
4 The buttons are locked. Slide HOLD back.
“L o bdi f " appears in the display
when you press a button.
4 The rcM^iargeable battery is used up
completely. Connect the AC power
adaptor and charge the battery.
4 The dry batteries are used up. Replace
them with new ones.
The battery life is short.
4 Manganese batteries are used. Use alkaline
batteries.
4 Replace the batteries with new ones.
The volume is limited to a certain
level even H you attempt to turn it
up.
4 ÀVLS selector is set to LIMIT. Set it to
NORM.
