Specifications

• Avoid exposing to extreme temperature, direct

sunlight, moisture, sand. dust, or mechanical shock.
Never leave the unit in a car parked in the sun.

• In vehicles or in buildings, radio reception may be

difficult or noisy. Try listening near a window.

• If there IS lightning when you are using this unit,

take off the headphones immediately.

•This product IS capable of receiving AM stereo

transmissions broadcast in the Motorola'C-QUAM®

stereo broadcast standard only. All other AM

transmissions will be received in monaural.

•C-QUAM is a registered trademark of Motorola.

• The stereo system of the unit operates only when the

unit is receiving AM stereo broadcast transmissions.

Road safety

Do not use headphones while driving, cycling, or

operating any motorized vehicle. It may create a
traffic hazard and is illegal in many areas. It can
also be potentially dangerous to play your
headphones at high volume while walking,
especially at pedestrian crossings. You should
exercise extreme caution or discontinue use m
potentially hazardous situations.

Preventing hearing damage

Avoid using headphones at high volume.
Hearing experts advise against continuous, loud
and extended play. If you experience a ringing in
your ears, reduce volume or discontinue use.

Caring for others

Keep the volume at a moderate level. This will
allow you to hear outside sounds and to be

considerate to people around you.

Installing Batteries

Insert two size AA (FI6) batteries with correct polarity.

Knowing when to replace the batteries

When the sound gets distorted or unstable, replace
both batteries with new ones.

Notes on the batteries

• Insert the batteries with correct polarity.
• Do not mix new and used batteries.
• The batteries cannot be charged .
• To avoid damage from possible battery leakage,

remove the batteries when the unit will not be used
for a long time.

Playing the Radio

1. Set POWER to ON to turn on the radio.

2.

Adjust VOL(volume).

3. Select FM ST, AM MONO, or AM ST and

tune in to a station using TUNING. When a

station is received, the tuning indicator will

light up.

PM ST: For FM stereo reception.
AM MONO: When AM ST is hard to hear the

broadcast due to noise, set it to AM MONO.

AM ST: For AM stereo reception.

• To turn off the radio, set POWER to OFF.
• To improve radio reception.

FM: Extend the headphone cord fully. It functions

as an FM antenna.

AM: Rotate the unit horizontally for optimum

reception. A femte bar antenna is built into the
unit.
