Connecting Video Equipment

Conrtect the titlet to video equipment betöre you
start using the titler This section explains two
ways to connect video equipment, basic

connection and connection using the S vtdeo
jacKs.

Video Equipment Used with the Titler

When using the titler, you need the following video
equipment for connection:
• a TV or a monitor for creating titles and viewing

the video picture

• a VCR or a video camera recorder tor playing

the original videotapes (player)

• a VCR for recording the titles and original tapes

combined (recorder)

Note on Connection

Be sure to turn off the power of the titler and video

equipment before connection.

About the ptayer and the recorder
• Connect the red ptug to the audio right jack (red)

and the while plug to the audio left jack (white).

• Connect the yellow plug to the video jack

(yellow).

• When the player or the recorder is a monaural

type, use a monaural A/V connecting cable such

as VMC-910MS/920MS (phono plug X 2 - phono
plug X 3) (not supplied).

• When both the player and the recorder have the

S video jacks, we recommend you to use the S

video jacks with optional cables such as YC-

15V/30V/15EV/30EV.

Basic Connection

The following illustration shows the connection of
the titler with the video equipment.

Connection Using the S Video Jacks

The loKowing illustration shows the connection
of the titler with video equipment that has Ihe S
video jacks.

When using the S video lacks

When you use either the video input jack or the S
video input jack to input the signal from the player,
the signal Is output from both the video output jack

and the S video output jack. But to get a clearer
picture from the player, we recommend you to use

the S video jacks of fh© player and the recorder

when usif>g the S video jacks of the titler, or use

the video jacks of the player and the recorder

when using the video jacks of the titler.
