Playing a CD in a car

You can use your player in a car as illustrated
below.

To connect your player to a car cassette deck,
you need the following accessories:

• Car connecting pack
• Car battery cord

or,

• Mount kit CPM-300PC (Mount plate + Car

connecting pack + Car battery cord)

• Car battery cord with car coimecting pack

DCC-E26CP

Refer to the instruction manual of each
accessory for details.

When you use the CPM-3Q0PC mount
kit/CPM-300P mount plate

Attach the car mount adaptor supplied to the
CPM-300PC/300P before installing the
player.

Notes

Do not put the player on the dashboard.
• Do not leave the player in a car parked imder

sunlight.

• Use a Sony car connecting pack for reducing

noise.

• Use only the car battery cord listed in the

■ recommended accessories. If you use any other

car battery cord, smoke, fire or malfunction
may occur.

Switched ignition function
(when using the car battery cord)

With this feature, your player stops
automatically when you turn off the engine of
the car. (This function is not possible with
some cars depending on the model.)

^Radio operations

Listening to the radio

Press RADIO/BAND to turn on the
radio.

Press RADIO/BAND repeatedly until the

band you want appears in the display.
Each time you press the button, the
display changes: FMl —+ FM2 —» FM3 —♦
FM4 -+ AM.

Press TUNING + or - to tune in the

station you want and adjust the volume.

To turn off the radio

Press RADIO OFF.

To tune in the station quickly

Hold down TUNING + or - in step 3 until the
frequency digits begin to change in the
display. The player automatically scans the
radio frequencies and stops when it finds a
clear station.

To improve broadcast reception

For FM, extend the headphones/earphones
cord.

For AM, reorient the player itself.
