The standard Driver Information Centre monitors numerous vehicle operating
systems – everything from low fluid levels to the status of the engine, transmission
and brakes. It warns you of possible transmission overheating problems, and even
tells you when it’s time to change the engine’s oil.

That old adage that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound
of cure applies to Silverado’s comprehensive, standard Driver
Information Centre. This multi-language display on the instrument
panel keeps you up to date on the status of numerous important
vehicle functions, including when an oil change is required. Also
included is an engine hour meter. Together, these indicators help
you assess the state of your Silverado to make sure all is
operating as it should.
