TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

PROBLEM

Loss of power (cont’d) * Build-up of grass, leaves and

trash under mower.

• Clean underside of mower hous­

ing.“

« Dirty air filter.

* Clean/repiace air filter.

• Low oil level/dirty oil.

* Check oil levef/change oil.

• Faulty spark plug.

* Clean and regap or change

spark plug.

• Dirty fuel filter.

» Replace fuel filter.

* Stale or dirty fuel.

• Drain fuel tank and refill with

fresh gasoline.

• Water in fuel.

• Drain fuel tank and carburetor,

refill tank with fresh gasoline and
replace fuel filter.

• Spark plug wire loose.

• Connect and tighten spark plug

wire.

• Dirty engine air screen/fins.

• Cle|n engine air screen/fins.

» Dirty/clogged muffler.

* Ciean/replace muffler.
