FILTER GUIDE

When using various Color Conversion and Neutral Density fND)

Filters, the exposure meter odiusting dial should be set to a figure

which is lower thon the actual film sensitivity of the film to be used.

The degree to which this figure is to be lowered should be equivalent

to the exposure factor of the filter.

HOW TO READ THE CHART

When using ASA 250 film !n conjunction with on ND4 filter, extend
sensitivity point 250 horizontolly to the right, os shown in the exam
ple. When it hits exposure factor line 1 move upwords until the verti-

co! line hits exposure factor line 4. Then move horiiontoily to the left

ond read the ASA sensitivity.

In this cose, the ASA sensitivity reods 64 ond indicates the figure to

which the exposure meter odjusting dial should be set when using o

filter with an exposure factor of 4X.
In this some manner, when using filter Y3 the exposure meter odjusting

dial should be set ot the lowered figure of ASA 125.
By using the Filter Guide the sensitivity figure to which the exposure

meter odjusting dial should be set con easily be calculated.
