Autotech 10.430.101K-105K Lower Front Subframe, Mk1 - Manual

Installation Instructions
Procedure:
1. Set the parking brake on vehicle and jack up the front end. Install jack stands under the jack pads on your
vehicle.
2. remove front a-arm pivot bolts and install the front portion of the lower stressbar with the center portion
hanging on the low side. Reinstall the pivot bolts with red loctite and torque to 43ft/lbs.
3. lock center nut in place on stressbar.
4. Install rearward portion of the stressbar removing the “U” shaped clamps. Then put the rear portion of
the bar into place and tighten the bolts to 22ft/lbs. Tighten the locknuts on the bar.
5. Install center portion of stressbar by adjusting threaded sections out to desired length. Mount bolts in
the end with the nut on the bottom side. Tighten nuts and then lock down the larger nuts on the bar.
Notes: Above steps number 4 and 5 are only applicable to the full subframe kit (part # 10.430.101K) and not
to the front stressbar (part 10.430.105K)
