Water tank

• Like all hot water appliances, the tea maker must be decalcified regularly.
• Calcium deposits in the appliance cause noises, and the brewing process takes longer,

which increases the electricity used.

• Pour approximately 750 ml of water and approximately 150 ml vinegar concentrate or

vinegar into the tea maker and switch on the machine. After decalcifying, rinse the
machine by operating it 2 times with 750 ml of clear water.

• Depending on the hardness of the water and degree of use, you should decalcify the

tea maker about once every 2 weeks.

Please note

► Regularly decalcifying your tea maker will reduce the electricity used and prolong the

life of the appliance.

► The materials can take on the odour of peppermint or herbal teas, which can affect the

aroma and flavour of the next pot of tea, even after cleaning.

17 Troubleshooting

This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to operating the device.
Observe the following notices to avoid dangers and damages:

Attention

► Only qualified electricians, who have been trained by the manufacturer, may carry out

any repairs on electrical equipment.

damages to the device.

18 Disposal of the Old Device

Old electric and electronic devices frequently still contain valuable materials.
However, they also contain damaging substances, which were necessary for their
functionality and safety.

If these were put in the non-recyclable waste or were handled incorrectly, they could be
detrimental to human health and the environment. Therefore, do not put your old device
into the non-recyclable waste under any circumstances.

Please note

Utilise the collection point, established in your town, to return and recycle old electric
and electronic devices. If necessary, contact your town hall, local refuse collection
service or your dealer for information.

Ensure that your old device is stored safely away from children until it is taken away.
