Before use

1. Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.

2. Inspect the appliance and the accessories carefully to verify their soundness and undamaged condition. Only

perfectly sound and damage-free appliances may be connected to the electrical mains.

3. Place the heater where you want to use it but don’t connect it to the mains. Remember to protect the floor

by putting the appliance on a heat-resistant surface. Fold out the support behind the rear cover to ensure the
heater is stable. Avoid using the heater on carpets or rugs with a long pile; these are unstable and could cause
the heater to fall over.

poWer sUpply

the appliance must only be plugged into a mains electricity supply that provides 230VaC

at 50HZ and has a protective earth connection. always make sure the voltage of your

mains supply matches the voltage indicated on the heater.

UsING of applIaNCe

1. Place the heater appropriately, as described above.

2. Make sure the power switch is in the ‚0’ off position.

3. Plug the power cable into an earthed mains socket or an appropriate extension lead.

4. Turn the power switch clockwise to the appropriate position:

0: off
1: 400W heating power - only the lower element will operate
2: 800W heating power - both heating elements operate

5. When you’ve finished using the heater, turn the power switch to the ‚0’ position and unplug the appliance

from the mains. Do not move the heater unless the power cable is disconnected and the appliance has cooled
down completely.

Notes
If the heater is knocked over, the power supply is automatically disconnected by the anti-tilt switch
on the base of the appliance. This helps to reduce the risk of fire. When positioning the heater, make
sure the anti-tilt switch is pushed inwards; the appliance won’t work if it is not positioned correctly.

maINteNaNCe aND CleaNING

Warning! Before you clean the appliance it must be switched off and the mains plug must

be removed from the wall socket.

Wait until the appliance has cooled down completely before you start cleaning it.

1. Clean the outside cover of the appliance with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth and then wipe the cleaned

surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth. Take care not to allow any moisture inside the cover. Let the appliance dry
completely before re-using or storing it.

2. When cleaning the appliance, never use solvent (acetone, benzole, petrol, alcohol, etc.) as these may solve the

casing material, or the internal parts of the appliance if they get into. Do not use cleaning agents with coarse
or grinding effect.

3. Never remove the cover of the appliance.
