MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Warning! Always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains before any
cleaning or maintenance. Make sure the power cable has been removed from the mains
socket and the appliance before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.

• In order to avoid an electric shock, never immerse the appliance, the cord or the plug in water or any other

liquid.

• Never remove the cover of the appliance.

• After each use, carefully remove any hair from outside the shaver by using the small cleaning brush.

• Clean the outside cover of the appliance with a damp, soft, lint-free cloth and then wipe the cleaned

surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth. Take care not to allow any moisture inside the cover. Let the appliance dry
completely before re-using or storing it.

• The cutting foils are very delicate. Do not touch them with your hands or press them against any other object

as their surfaces can easily be distorted or damaged. A broken or damaged foil can cause injuries during
shaving.

• When cleaning the appliance, never use solvent (acetone, benzole, petrol, alcohol, etc.) as these may solve the

casing material, or the internal parts of the appliance if they get into. Do not use cleaning agents with coarse
or grinding eff ect.

• If you shave every day you’ll need to remove hair from inside the appliance two or three times a week. The

cleaning brush can be used on the shaver head, vibrating cutters and long hair trimmer but must NOT be used
on the cutting foils. Follow the steps below to clean your shaver.
a) Make sure the shaver is switched off and unplugged. Remove the protective cover. Press the shaver head
release button (part no. 9) and remove the shaver head by holding the side of it.
b) Use the brush to remove any skin and hair from inside the vibrating cutters. Thoroughly clean the area
around and below the cutters.
c) Gently tap the side of the shaver head to remove any hair from inside. Brush the inside of the shaver head,
taking great care not to touch the cutting foils with the bristles of the brush.
d) When the shaver head and cutters have been cleaned, replace the shaver head and press it back in place
until you hear a click.
e) Thoroughly clean the long hair trimmers. Occasionally, after cleaning them with the brush, touch a drop of
acid-free instrument oil onto the blades of the trimmers. Remove any excess with absorbent paper (e.g. tissue
paper).

• If the cutting ability of the long hair trimmers decreases despite regular cleaning and oiling, this part will

need replacing. Similarly, if the shaving foils become damaged or broken, you should stop using the shaver

and replace the damaged parts. Because the long hair trimmer and the cutting foils are components that will
eventually wear out, they are not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Please follow the steps below if you
need to replace the shaving foils:
a) Remove the shaver head from the appliance.
b) Turn the shaver head upside-down and carefully push the internal pins that hold the edge of the cutting
foils.
c) Push the old foil out from the shaver head.
d) Insert the new cutting foil so that the internal pins fi t into the appropriate grooves. Make sure it clicks in
place, taking care not to damage or distort the foil when replacing it.

• Replace the protective cover on the appliance every time you fi nish using or cleaning it. Store the appliance

in a dry, dust-free place. Never wind the power cable round the appliance because this can damage the
insulation.
