1. Page 1, Introduction, first paragraph, last sentence:
Change “ (0.5 ppm typ.)” to “(±1 ppm, ± 0.5 ppm typ.)”
2. Page 4, Using the K3EXREF, add the following:
After installing the K3EXREF module, you must enable it in the K3 menu before it can
be used if your K3 is equipped with MCU firmware 4.57 or later.
Enable the K3EXREF module as follows:

Turn the K3 on. Confirm that TECH mode is on ( CONFIG:TECH MD On ).

Turn the VFO B knob to locate the CONFIG:REF CAL menu entry.

Tap the REV / 2 switch and note that the VFO B display flashes between XREF IN
(K3EXREF module active) and XREFOUT K3EXREF module disabled). Tap the
REV / 2 switch so that XREF IN is displayed.
NOTE
If you remove the K3EXREF module in the future, follow the above
procedure to disable the module in the menu (
XREFOUT) . Leaving the
menu enabled ( XREF IN ) with the module removed may cause audible
digital switching noise on the 6 meter band.
3. Page 4, Using the K3EXREF, replace the NOTE with the following:
NOTE: If you want to maintain the calibration provided by the external 10 MHz source even after
the 10 MHz source is disconnected, be sure the external 10 MHz source is connected and the
REF CAL asterisk is blinking, and then tap the 1 switch. This will save the current value in
memory and it will be used even after the external 10 MHz source is disconnected. (This feature
requires K3 firmware revision 4.42 or later.)
