Maintenance and care

In this chapter you will find out how to maintain the Vetter Flexible
packer and the maintenance intervals which you must observe.

6.1 Maintenance intervals

The function test of the safety valve are only to be carried out wi-
thout the packer. Over-pressure range!
A function test of the safety valves with the packer outside of the
pipeline or test pipe can cause the packer to burst.
The function test of the packer at full operating pressure in the
allowed maximum pipe diameter is only permitted to be carried
out in a correspondingly resistant pipe. A pipe which does not
have the corresponding resistance to the packer at full operating
pressure is likely to explode!
