Disassembly for Cleaning or Repair

1. Turn off power complying with all rules relative to “lockout / tagout.”
2. Disconnect the wire from the motor.
3. Disconnect screw discharge stub from downstream process
4. Loosen the three bolts from the hopper sleeve and pull out the entire motor, gearbox,

flexible tube and screw assembly.

5. Drop the entire motor, gearbox, flexible tube and screw assembly to the floor or

workbench.

6. Using a flathead screwdriver, pop off the shaft bolt access cover on the gearbox.
7. Using a 7/16” wrench or ratchet, unscrew the shaft bolt.
8. Move to the bottom of the sleeve / screw assembly and pull out the screw and shaft

from the gearbox keyway and sleeve. (Be careful to look for the key as it my stay
attached to the shaft, fall out into the tube or stay in the gearbox.)

9. Clean out the tube. (Note: The access port cover may be unbolted and taken off to aid

in the cleaning process.)

Reassembly After Cleaning or Repair

1. Reverse the instructions above. (Note: be sure to clean the shaft, key and keyway

slot areas and add anti-seize compound (aluminum oxide lubricant.))

2. It is advisable to unbolt the access port cover to aid in lining up the shaft and key

into the keyway slot in the gearbox.
