When the shaft keys and weights are reassembled, avoid pounding onto the
shaft. Doing so may mark the bearing surfaces and reduce the bearing’s life.
Make sure to test the motor for amp draw and any excessive heat rise at the
bearing flanges after reassembly. Note any unusual noises that may be present
while the motor is running under loaded conditions.
