OPERATION

DANGER:

Do not disassemble check valve, tank drain valves or
safety relief valve with air in tank — bleed tank. Failure
to depressurize tank could result in explosion and/or
serious personal injury.

WARNING:

Do not allow familiarity with tools to make you careless.
Remember that a careless fraction of a second is
sufficient to inflict severe injury.

WARNING:

Always wear eye protection with side shields marked to
comply with ANSI Z87.1. Failure to do so could result
in objects being thrown in your eyes and other possible
serious injuries.

WARNING:

This equipment incorporates parts, such as snap
switches, receptacles, and the like that tend to produce
arcs or sparks and, therefore, when located in a garage,
it should be in a room or enclosure provided for the
purpose, or should be 18 in. (457 mm) or more above
the floor.

WARNING:

Do not attach any tools to the open end of the hose

until start-up has been completed. Attaching a tool
prematurely could result in accidental operation caus-
ing serious injury.

NOTICE:

Do not use in an environment that is dusty or otherwise
contaminated. Using the air compressor in this type of
environment may cause damage to the unit.

APPLICATIONS

Air compressors are utilized in a variety of air system
applications. Match hoses, connectors, air tools, and
accessories to the capabilities of the air compressor.
You may use this product for the purposes listed below:

Operating some air-powered tools

Operating air accessories such as air nozzles and inflators

TRANSPORTING THE AIR COMPRESSOR

See Figures 3 -4, page 15.
The air compressor should be moved as shown in figure 3.

Ensure

AUTO/OFF switch is in the OFF position and the

air compressor is unplugged.

Grasp the carrying handle firmly with one hand and lift

the air compressor.

Move the air compressor to the desired location, then

lower the compressor until it sits securely on a flat surface.

OR DOWN STAIRS

See Figure 4, page 15.

Using the carrying handle get a firm grasp of the unit. Lift

the unit into a safe and comfortable carrying position.

NOTE: Use good lifting techniques and get help if

needed.

With proper footing and balance, carry the unit down one

step at a time.

Use care in transporting the unit down or up stairs to avoid

damage to the stairs, damage to the unit, and personal
injury.

Lower the air compressor until it sits securely on a flat

surface.

AUTO/OFF

See Figure 5, page 16.

Connect the air compressor to a power supply. Turn the

AUTO/OFF switch to the AUTO position to power the
compressor on, as shown in the start up section of the
quick reference label.

To turn the air compressor off, turn the

AUTO/OFF switch

to the

OFF position.

NOTE: When the compressor is in the AUTO position, the
air compressor will automatically turn back on when the tank
air pressure drops below the preset pressure limit. It will also
shut off again when the max pressure is reached.
