I. Introduction
The WEBS-RETRO-MTR is a kit that converts an existing ETP-MT/R Tower to a WEBS ® -capable Mass
Notification Unit. This instruction manual assumes that a fully functional ETP-MT/R Tower has already been
installed.
II. Contents
Before beginning installation, make sure you have all the included components. Each kit consists of two
packages. Package #1, labeled WEBS-RETRO-MTR contains the painted WEBS
® retrofit tower top. Package
#2, labeled WEBS-RETRO-KIT contains the following:

III. Installation
(A) Installing the Retrofit Tower Top (figure 1).
1) Remove and discard the cap plate of the ETP-MT/R tower top by unfastening two 10-24 x 3/4” pan
head tamperproof screws.
2) Detach the strobe light from the top of the tower by unfastening the three 10-24 x 3/4" pan head
tamperproof screws (keep the strobe inside the polycarbonate enclosure).
3) Place four WEBS ® loudspeakers into the Retrofit Tower Top resting on the bottom and feed the
speaker wiring through the bottom.
4) Raise the Retrofit Tower Top to the top of the tower and pass the WEBS ® loudspeakers wiring
through the center hole of the Strobe Mounting Plate and down to the bottom of the tower; attach the
cabling with the wiring clamps to the side of the ETP-MT/R tower’s polycarbonate top.
5) Attach the supplied stand-off bracket to the bottom of the strobe and fasten both to the Strobe
Mounting Plate with three 10-24 x 1-1/2" pan head phillips screws provided.
6) Fasten the Retrofit Tower Top to the top of the tower with the help of the two 10-24 x 3/4" pan head
tamperproof screws provided.
7) Install the four WEBS
® loudspeakers in the Retrofit Tower Top by locking each down with the retainer
bracket starting with the bottommost speakers first.
8) Close the top of the retrofit tower top with its cap plate.
