EXTRACTOR HANDLE INSTALLATION

Skip Step 1 if the mounting brackets are already installed.

1. Position each of the bottom mounting brackets (A) as illustrated in Figure 3. Fasten with the 5/16” x 1-1/2”

long hex head cap screw (B) and one 5/16” washer (C) on the outside through the uppermost slot. Secure

with the 5/16” lock nut (D) on the inside. (Note: Do not fully tighten until the final handle adjustment is

done.)

2. Use Figure 2 to understand which spring is used on the left-hand side of the truck and which is used on

the right-hand side of the truck (from user position behind the hand truck). Please note that the extractor

handle is mounted to the truck so that it bends away from the truck frame (and toward the operator

standing behind the hand truck).

3. Slide the LH torsion spring (G) onto the left side of the extractor handle (E) making sure the leg pointing

down is positioned in the corner between the mounting bracket and the side rail of the frame as shown in

Figures 3 and 4.

4. Fit the extractor handle with springs (E) through the upper hole in the mounting bracket as shown in

Figure 3. Install a bushing (F) from the outside, and insert a cotter pin (I) as shown in Figure 3 and Figure

5 (page 4).
