|To remove the USB Reader/Writer for SD

Memory Card (Windows® 98/Me)

Close the software program that is using the

USB Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card.

Check to see the access lamp on the USB

Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card is off, and

then remove the SD Memory Card.

|To remove the USB Reader/Writer for SD

Memory Card (Windows® 2000)

Close the software program that is using the
USB Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card.
Click the card icon displayed in the system

tray on the lower right of the screen.

Select “Stop USB Reader/Writer for SD

Memory Card” and click it.

Check to see the access lamp on the USB

Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card is off, and

then remove the SD Memory Card.

H Cautions

• Do not subject the USB ReaderAft/riter for SD Memory

Card to shocks.

• Do not insert any objects except Memory Cards; otherwise

it could damage the USB Reader/Writer for SD Memory

Card and the connected equipment.

• Keep the USB Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card away

from high-temperature iocations and direct sunlight.

• Do not attempt to disassemble or remodel the USB

Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card.

• Operation may not or wiil not be performed property when it

is connected simultaneously with other USB equipments

(or using USB hub or USB extension cord).

• Note that operations are not guaranteed for ali Computers

providing the recommended environment.

• Note that after you have edited or modified images in your

personai computer, you may not be able to play back

images in Palmcorder.

H Concerning the SD Memory Card and

MultiMediaCard

SD Memory Card

The SD Memory Card (supplied) is the same size as a

MuitiMediaCard. It is an external memory card that is

available in larger capacities. It has a write protect switch to

prevent data writing and card formatting, as well as a

copyright protection function.

• SD Logo is a trademark.

MultiMediaCard

The MuitiMediaCard is a compact, lightweight and

removable external memory card.
• All other company and product names in the operating

instructions are trademarks or registered trademarks of

their respective corporations.

Still pictures recorded on a SD Memory Card or

MultiMediaCard

It may not be possible to play back the pictures on this

Palmcorder recorded on and created by other equipment or

vice versa. For this reason, check the compatibility of the

equipment in advance.

I Concerning the compatibility of the card

images

Image data files recorded on “SD Memory Card”s or

“Mul1iMediaCard"s by this Palmcorder conform with DCF

(Design Rules for Camera Files Systems universal standard)

established by JEIDA (Japan Electronic Industry

Development Association).
• If you attempt to play back images recorded with this

Palmcorder in other equipment or to play back images
recorded with other equipment in this Palmcorder, you may
not be able to play them back. Please check the

compatibility with other equipment in advance.

^Concerning the folder structure when

using the Memory Card in a personal

computer

• If you insert a memory card in your personal computer, the

folder should be displayed as below.
[lOOcdpfp]:

The images in this folder {Imga0001.jpg etc.)

have been recorded in JPEG format.

[Misc]:

This folder contains files which set up in

DPOF data

[Title];

This folder contains data of original titles

(Usr00001.jpg, UsrOOOOl.ttI etc.)

• [Dcim], [ImOlcdpf], [Private], [Vtf] are necessary items for

the folder structure. In actual use you do not have to be
concerned about them.

• In the Card Photoshot Mode, the palmcorder automatically

saves the image under a file name {Imga0001.jpg etc.) File
names are recorded with each picture as running numbers.
