«It is recommended to set the display

mode to “OFF” to conserve power or to

prevent battery consumption when an
external TV set is connected.

For your reference:

»Turning the LCD display screen to OFF

while playing music CDs reduces power
consumption. This measure also con­

serves battery power when operating off

the battery pack. (Under these condi­
tions, the battery pack provides 4.5 hours

of continuous playback when playing
music CDs.)

«Horizontal lines may appear on the

screen when the display mode is set to
“ZOOM": this is normal.
