versa sides, until [■] Is pressed.

Notes:

•Before playback, be sure to set [«AM/FM/

OFF] to “OFF".

•When closing the cassette holder, be sure

to push the cassette holder firmly against
the unit, and turn [OPEN LOCK] until it

locks.

•Do not open the cassette compartment

cover during tape operation.

• Between functions {during play, fast for­

ward or rewind), always press [■] first to

avoid jamming the tape.

•When the tape reaches the end after fast

forward or rewind, press [1] to release the

button.

• If you press [* *AM/FM/OFF] to switch on

the radio during tape operation, the but­
tons wilt not be released even though the

motor has stopped. Press [■] to release

the button.

This function prevents the unit from operat­

ing even if one of the front panel buttons is

pressed in error.

How to receive an FM broadcast clearly

Preset tuning

A total of 20 stations can be stored as
follows:

MODE 1: FM 1-5, AM 1-5
MODE 2: FM 1-5, AM 1-5

We recommend that you use MODE 1 for
daily use, and MODE 2 for travel.

Press a memory button ([1], [2], [3], [4], [5]).

•Release the button within 2 seconds.

When using overseas

Allocations need to be changed according to
the area.

Every time the following procedure is per­

formed, the allocation setting changes as
follows:

FM 0.2 MHz, AM 10 kHz*
(original setting)

settings

Press and hold

to select the

mode (MODE 1 or MODE 2).

•The changed allocation settings (FM

and then AM) are displayed.

Note:

Converting the allocation erases the stations

previously stored in memory.

XBS does not function for AM reception.
