Helpful Information for Making Calls

• The unit will automatically select a free line which is not being used by a

parallel connected telephone when you make a call. (To change the line

selection, see page 24.)

• You may select a line manually by directly pressing the line button. (If the

unit is programmed to select no line, this is indispensable. See page 24.)

• Pressing [CLOCK] during a conversation changes the display from the call

duration to the number dialed alternately.

If you misdial

Press (FLASH] firmly. ^ Dial again.

Putting a call on hold

Press I HOLD I during a conversation. The line indicator flashes green.

• If you are using the handset, you may place it on the cradle.
• To release the hold, press the line button.

You may make or answer a second call on another line while keeping
the present call on hold. See page 16.

What the line indicator means

Light off

The line is free.

Light on (Green)

The line is selected.

Light on (Red)

The line is being used by a parallel connected

telephone.

Flashing (Green)

The call is on hold.
