NTDP A protocol that is used to collect information about the adjacency and the
backup switch of each device in the network.
NTP Network Time Protocol. An application protocol that is used to synchronize the
distributed server and the client side.

OSPF-TE Traffic engineering of OSPF. (For information about OSPF, see Appendix B

Policy-based routing A routing scheme that forwards packets to specific interfaces based on
user-configured policies.

RSVP-TE
A method of filtering out unnecessary content in output to display only the
necessary content.
Remote monitoring. A MIB agent specification defined by the IETF that
defines functions for remote monitoring of the data flow of a network segment
or the whole network.
A device on the network layer that selects routes in the network. The router
selects the optimal route according to the destination address of the received
packet through a network and forwards the packet to the next router. The last
router is responsible for sending the packet to the destination host.
Rapid Ring Protection Protocol. A protocol that is applied on the data link
layer. When the Ethernet ring is complete, it can prevent a broadcast storm
caused by the data loop. When a link is disconnected on an Ethernet ring, it can
rapidly restore the communication link between the nodes on the ring network.

A method of service debugging, diagnosis, and error detection that is used by
service personnel to locate a fault in user access. Service tracing can output
status change and the result of protocol processing of the specified user during
access to the terminal or the server.
Secure Shell. A protocol that provides a secure connection to a router through a
TCP application.
A protocol that binds some IP addresses to a specified gateway. The packet of
these IP addresses must be forwarded through this gateway.
