While watching the TV
The picture on the TV

Unsuitable position or orientation of antenna. Change to an outdoor antenna. Place the
system at a distance from the TV.

TV’s antenna cord is too close to the system. Run the TV’s antenna cord at a distance from
the system.
While listening to tapes
Sound is low, intermittent,
or poor quality, noisy,
scratchy, or unsteady. Heads are dirty. Clean the heads. Back cover
Dolby noise reduction is set in the wrong
position.
Set it to match the Dolby NR recording mode.

While enjoying discs
Disc play starts
automatically before you
complete the process.
The Automatic Play function is activated. To stop playing, press [■].

Disc play does not start
from the first track.
The Resume function is activated. Press [■] while the player is stopped to
cancel the Resume function.

The picture of the DVD/
video CD does not appear
on the TV. The video connection cable Is not connected. Connect the video connection cable. 8, 9
The TV is not set to video input mode. Set the TV to video input mode.
The display will not show
the correct indication.
Disc play does not start
when you press the play

The disc is scratched. Replace the disc with a new one.

There is condensation inside the unit. Wait for 60 minutes before using the unit.
“TAKE OUT/DISC”

There is a problem with the disc mechanism.

The tray will open automatically. Remove the
disc from the tray, and after ensuring there is
no disc in the tray close it. The unit will make
the disc changing noises for a few moments
and then it should operate normally.
You have forgotten your
age restriction password.
(£) Turn on your television and insert a CD or video CD into the changer.
Disc information is displayed on this system’s display.
@ White stopped, press and hold [■] on the changer AND [> 10/-/-] on the remote control until the message
“Initialized" appears on the television,
@ Press standby/on switch to switch the system to standby and then switch it on again.
All settings on the system have been returned to the original factory settings.
During CD editing
“DECK NO TAPE” appears
on the display. No tape is loaded into deck 2. Load a tape.
“ERROR” appears on the
display.
The protector tab on the tape is broken. Cover the tab’s hole with adhesive tape or
use another tape.
