Turn on cabla box
Enter cable box brand <t from
brand table in your manual

Push NUMBERED keys
(0^9) to enter your two
digit cable box brand
number from the list
shown left.
For example, for 7, push 0,
and then push 7.
To make corrections,
push the yellow key repeatedly to delete the cable box brand number.
Then, enter the correct number.
• If you do not use a cable box, push the red key and return to step 9.

Push the green key to set the brand number.
The Combination VCR will run a test to determine
if your cable box brand is compatible. If it is, it
automatically switches the cable box channel to 09.
Confirm that the cable box
I channel switched to 09.
Then, push the green key
to select YES and go to
step 13.
If the cable box channel did not
switch to 09, push the yellow
key to select NO. The
Combination VCR will try the
test again. If "Cable box test
failed” appears, push the red
key and repeat steps 10--12.
If the test is still unsuccessful,
TV GUIDE Plus+ is not
available with the cable box you
are using.
Push MENU three times to
return to the normal screen.
