Lower the 60/40 split-folding rear bench seat and the

Midgate®. Remove the rear window and the three piece

tonneau cargo cover (Fig 12). Set up is exactly the same

as the other truck tents with the following exceptions:

CAUTION: Metal magnets are located inside the front

of the rain fly to hold it in place on the roof of the ve-

hicle. Be careful when placing the rainfly on the roof

of your Avalanche.

WARNING: KEEP ALL FLAME AND HEAT SOURCES

AWAY FROM THIS TENT FABRIC

This tent meets the flammability requirements of

CPAI-84. The fabric may burn if left in continu-

ous contact with any flame source. The applica-

tion of any foreign substance to the tent fabric may

render the flame resistant properties ineffective.

In Step 7, the (2) black straps on the front of the rainfly

should be secured inside the vehicle to the front cleats (Fig

16). The vehicle’s doors shut over the straps.

If the Avalanche has a running board, attach the black

strap clips down and around the running board to the

truck’s body (Fig 15) or attach them to the truck’s wheel

well.

In Step 2, place the stitched front edge of the tent (has

(2) tie down strings sewn inside) in the gap between the

plastic rear window frame and the metal roof (Fig 13). All

(3) black strap clips from the front of the tent will attach

in a row to the bottom of the Avalanche body (Fig 14).

The pressure along these straps from one side of the Ava-

lanche to the other side will hold the front edge in the gap.
