Auger housing disassembly: Impeller shaft bearing replacement
1. Separate the auger housing from the engine drive unit and remove the pulley.
2. Remove the two nuts that secure the bearing housing,
using a 1/2” wrench. See Figure 4.17.
3. Slide the bearing and spacer off of the impeller shaft to
inspect for wear. See Figure 4.18.
4. The auger shaft is supported by bearings at each end.
The bearings are fixed in housings.
• Remove the hex cap screws that hold the auger shaft bear-
ing housings on each side of the auger housing with a 1/2”
wrench. See Figure 4.19.
NOTE: Support the auger assembly while removing the
bushing housing screws
