SAFE USE OF THE IRON

Your safety ainid the safety of others is very important.

We have provided importapt safety messages in this manual and on your appliance. Always read
and obey all safety messages.

When using your iron, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following;

To reduce the risk of burns, eiectric shock,

fire, or injury to persons:

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THE IRON

• Use the iron only for its intended purpose, for ironing fabrics. To protect against burns or injury to

persons, do not iron or steam fabrics while being worn on the body.

® To protect against the risk of electric shock, do not immerse the iron or AC cord in water or other

liquids.

o The iron should always be turned to “ 0" before plugging or unplugging from outlet. Never yank

the AC cord to disconnect from outlet; instead, grasp Plug and pull to disconnect.

• Do not allow the AC cord to touch hot surfaces. Allow the iron to cool down completely before

storing.

• Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling or emptying water and when not in use.
® To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not operate iron with a damaged the AC cord or if the iron

has been dropped or damaged. Do not disassemble the iron. Incorrect reassembly can cause a

risk of electric shock when the iron is used. For repair, take it to a qualified serviceman.

© Close supervision is necessary for this appliance to be used by or near children. Do not leave

iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board.

o Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam. Use with caution when filling

or turning the steam iron upside down. Hot water may leak from the iron.

• To protect against burns or injury to persons, do not direct steam toward the body when ironing

or self-cleaning.

• The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface. When placing the iron on its Heel Rest,

ensure that the surface on which the Heel Rest is placed is stable.

® Do not use the appliance with the AC cord entangled. The AC cord might be damaged as a result.

® If smoke or fire is emitted from the product, stop using immediately and detach the plug from

the electrical outlet to avoid fire or electrical shock. Contact a service agent or dealer immediately.
