stage, dual-threshold airbags to help
reduce the chance of airbag-caused
injuries.
A driver’s seat position sensor that
monitors the driver’s seat position
and adjusts the inflation and
timing of the driver’s airbag (see

Front passenger’s weight sensors
monitor the weight on the seat.
These prevent the passenger’s
airbag from inflating if the weight
is less than about 65 lbs (30 kg)
