Important care and handling instructions for NiMH batteries.

It is important not to allow NiMH batteries to overheat while being charged.
Heat can adversely affect the performance of the NiMH battery. Store NiMH
battery packs with some voltage remaining on the cells. Use a NiMH battery
pack no more than three cycles per day, with a two to three-hour break in
between for cooling. More frequent use is likely to overheat the pack.

DC INPUT POWER
Only use this charger in an automotive 12V power receptacle. Always
disconnect the power and battery from the charger when not in use.

OUTPUT LEAD
The built-in output lead includes a pre-installed 2-pin connector for direct
connection to the Reef Racer 2, 6-cell, 7.2V, 1100mAh NiMH battery.

CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
Plug the battery charger into an automobile's 12-volt power outlet. When
the charger is plugged in it will start to beep slowly and the LED will begin
to flash slowly.

Place the charger outside the vehicle.

Join the battery and charger connectors. The connectors are designed to only
connect one way to prevent the battery from being hooked up backwards.

Once the battery is connected to the charger the charger will stop beeping
and the LED will illuminate to indicate that the charger is charging. It is a
good idea to check the battery pack every five minutes. If at any time the
battery pack becomes hot during charging, immediately disconnect the
charger from the outlet and the battery from the charger. Allow the battery
to cool completely before attempting to use.

Once the battery is finished charging the charger will start to beep fast and
the LED will flash fast.

After charging is completed, unplug the charger unit from the power outlet.
Disconnect the battery and charger connectors by pushing the small tab
down while gently pulling the connectors apart.
