A convenient checklist for handling minor performance problems. Go over this list before
calling for service. If you are unable to solve your dishwasher's problem, turn to page 25 for
service information.
Problem Cause Solution
Food Soil Left on Improper loading Follow loading instructions on
Dishes pages 17-20.
Water temperature is Use the Hi-Temp Wash option and do not
too low use the Lo-Energy Rinse option. If needed,
turn home water heater up to ensure water
entering dishwasher is 120®F (49°C) mini­
mum. See recommended procedure on
page 15.
Use of incorrect, too Use recommended dishwasher detergents
little or ineffective only. Follow recommendations on pages 12
detergent and 13 for amounts; never use less than one
tablespoon per load. Detergent must be fresh
to be effective. Always store detergent in a
cool, dry area.
Detergent cakes in Use fresh detergent only. Do not allow deter-
dispenser gent to sit for several hours in a wet dispen­
ser. Check dispenser for caked detergent.
Clean dispenser when caked detergent is
present.
Pump or spray arm Remove labels before washing bottles and
clogged by labels from
bottles and cans cans or wash by hand. See page 16.
Low water pressure due Home water pressure should be 20 to 120
to insufficient fill psi for proper dishwasher fill. A booster pump
on the water supply may be necessary if
pressure is too low.
Slowdown of wash arm Never use soap or laundry detergents. Use
due to high suds recommended dishwasher detergents only.
Spotting and Hard water or high Conditioning the final rinse water with a liquid
Filming mineral content in water rinse agent helps eliminate spotting arid
filming. Keep the dispenser filled with a rinse
agent at all times.
