WATER HEATER SAEETY
Under certain conditions hydrogen gas may be produced in a water heater that has not been used for two weeks
or more. Hydrogen gas can be explosive under these circumstances.
If the hot water has not been used for two weeks or more, prevent the possibility of tlamage oi' injury by tnriring on
all hot water farrcets and allowing them to mn for several mimrtes. Do this before using any electrical appliance
which is connected to the hot water sssitem. This simple procedure will allow any built-up hydrogen gas to escape.
Since the gas is flammable, do not smoke or use an open flame or appliance dur ing this process.
PROPER INSTALLATION
This washer must be properly installed and located in accordance with the Installation Instructions before it is used. If
you did not receive an Installation Instructions sheet, you can receive one by calling, toll-free 1-800-361-3400.

WHEN USING THE WASHER
I
Close supeiyision is necessary if this appliance is used
by or near children. Do not allow' childr en to play on,
with, i)r in.side this or any other appliance.
I Never r each into wiasher w'hile it is mo\ing. W;rit
urrtil the machine has completely stopped before
openirrg the lid.
I Do not mix chlorine bleach with ammonia or acids
such as vinegar and/or- nrst remover-. Mxing
different chemicals can pr-oduce a toxic gas w'hich
may cau.se death.
I Do not wash or dry articles that have been cleaned in,
w'ashedin, soaked in, or spotted with combustible or-
explosive substances (such as wax, oil, paint, gasoline,
degi-easers, dry-cleaning solvents, kerosene, etc.) w'hich
may ignite or explode. Do not add these substances to
the w'ash w'ater. Do not trse or place these stibstances
ar-ound your- w"a.sher or dryer during operation.
I The lairndiy process can reduce the flame retardancy
of fabrics. To avoid such a result, carefully follow' the
garment manufactirrer’s w'ash and care instructions.
I To minimize the possibility of electric shock, imping
this appliance from the pow'er .supply or disconnect
the w'asher at the hoirsehold distribution panel by
remoting the fu.se or switching off the circuit breaker-
before attempting any maintenance or cleaning.

I Turn off W'ater farrcets to relieve pre.s.sure on hoses
and valves and to minimize leakage if a br eak or
mpture should occur-. Check the condition of the
fill hoses; they may need replacement after- 5 years,

service, remove the washer- lid to pr event childr en
