Chapter Settings

The PRV-9200 is equipped to create chapters within titles either manually or automatically.

Manual chapters can be created on the fly by simply pressing the chapter mark button on

the remote control Chapter rrarkers can also be inserted or deleted on the HDD. Automatic

chapters can be inserted at the beginning of the recording process by choosing pre-set

intervals ot 10 or 15 minutes.

Chase Play

Chase Play allows you to watch the content you are recording during the recording process.

Recording is not interrupted and continues even If you go bacK to the beglrming of the recording

and review the video. Chase Play lets you simultaneously scan, watch, stop, or pause

the playback content that you're recording. With the PRV-9200, the Hard Disk Drive is handling

both Chase and Play tasks.

Smart VBR (Variable Bit Rate Recording)

The VBR recording nrxxJe lets you choose the quality level and recording time that best suits your

content and project. Choose trom Auto. Fine (FINE), Standard Play (SP), Long Play (LP), and

Extended Play (EP). The Auto setting selects the best possible recording quciHy for the time

specifications of the DVD media you are using and is only available when using pre-set timed

recordings. The PRV-9200 is equ pped with an enchanced VBR recording process for the best

possible video quality in any recording mode chosen.

Advanced Disc Navigator

The user-friendly menu system makes all the key functions of

the PRV-9200 easy to operate. You can set up a Play List, edit or

move a chapter erase an entire title or a section, divide a title or

protect a title from erasure.*

NTSC/PAL Standards

Users can select from NTSC and PAL recording standards as well as playback in both. So,

no matter which standard you choose, the PRV-9200 can accommodate your needs.

Sophisticated Video Playback

This professional DVD reco-’cler Is equipped with component (out only), composite (ia'out),

S-Video (in/out) and IEEE-1394 DV connections. This gives you more op:ions for video

recording sources. The PRV-9200 has progressive playback and a JPEG viewfinder for photo

slideshow capabilities.

Superior Audio

As v/ith all Pioneer recorders, super or audio is built-in. The PRV-9200 features Dolby Digital

and DTS D gita! surround souno outputs, along with "igh-quality audio and video D/A converters.
