Operation

TheUBC lOOXLThas 100 memcryciiannels, eacnofwhicn can deprogrammed to

When the unit is first turned cn, each channel will contain ‘CGG.GCO'. When new

frequencies are prcgrammed, the old will oe erased. If an invalid freouenc/ is

entered, "Error" wii) de displayed and the old frequency will return.

To operate the scanner maKe sure that the darterles are chargeq or cower .s

ccrrectiy connected to the unit. Turn the volume control on and adjust the desired

level. Adjust the squelch by turning the knee fully clockwise until a rusning sound

is heard. Turn the .kneb Pack until the receiver .s silent. After the channels have

been programmed, operation is simoie. .^ress the scan key to scan all the c.nanneis.

While the receivei" is scanning channels, pressing one of the numcer .kevs will turn

a bank of 10 channels on or off. The black lines at the top of the „CD display show

/cu wmeh banks are selected. If a bank s already selected, [shewn by a oiack line
uncer the dank numner] pressing tne corresconcmg burton will deselect that
bank. Press the manual key to stop scanning. Peceateoly pressing the manual key

will step through the channels in ordei'.

LCD Display

The L'8C ICGXLT has a backlit display wnich shews the current channel and

irequenc/ as well as ocher operationai mcdes. When the unit is scanning, the

channel number will racidly advance wmle the frecuency dispiav will go blank.

When the scanner is stepped the current cnanne! and frequency will again oe
displayed.

When frequences are programmed the d iso lay will shew the digits as they are
entered. The disolay will aiso snow "PRI" when the cncriry mode is on. "UfO'

whenever a cnannei appears that has been locked out. and "DLT' wrenever a
channel nas been prcgrammed for delay. ,^.crass the top of the disciay, a senes of
dashes under the numbers I-iO will be present. These are tne oani< maicator

numcers. These are selected or deselected during the scan seouence by the use of
the numeric oad.
