DeviceMaster RTS Installation

Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation. To ensure
reliable operation of the DeviceMaster and to protect it from overheating,
maintain a minimum of 1 inch clearance on all sides of the unit.

AC power inputs are intended to be used with a three-wire grounding type
plug, which has a grounding pin. Equipment grounding ensures safe
operation. Do not defeat the grounding means and verify that the
DeviceMaster is reliably grounded when mounting within the IT rack.

DeviceMaster RTS Installation

Use this procedure to install the rackmount shelf kit with a DeviceMaster RTS.
Make sure that you have reviewed the

Installation Guidelines

on Page 1.

1.

Attach the brackets shipped with the DeviceMaster RTS to the bottom of the
unit using the screws.

2.

Place the RTS on the
shelf, making sure to
align the bracket holes
on the RTS with the
RTS mounting holes
illustrated below.

3.

Insert the flat head
phillips screw from the
underside of the shelf
and secure the four
nuts using a 5/16” nut
driver. Make sure that
the washers on the nuts are facing the RTS bracket.

If necessary, use a phillips screw driver to hold the screws in place while
securing the nuts.

4.

Align power
supply bracket
(5801097) with
the threaded stub
and lip, and slide
it into place.

5.

Slide the power
supply under the
bracket.

6.

Secure the power
supply bracket
with a nut
(washer side
down).

7.

Align and mount
the shelf into a
standard IT rack
using the four 5/8”
round head phillips screws provided.
