Belt Adjustment and Replacement:

Periodically check to be sure the belt is undamaged and that it is at the proper tension. A slipping belt will overheat
causing the cutting speed to vary, shortening the life of the belt. An over-tensioned belt will shorten the life of the belt &
bearings.

On new equipment and after installing a new belt, be certain to re-tension the belt after the first 4 hours of use. A

new belt is stiff and requires a break in period. A belt that becomes loose could slip and/or overheat.

A damaged, stretched or excessively worn belt should be replaced with a new belt immediately.

IMPORTANT: A belt must be replaced if it is showing wear.

A straight edge is a good tool to use to be certain
sheaves are properly aligned. (Figure 14)

To tension or replace belt loosen motor

assembly mounting bolts (4) circled

(Figure 15) and slide the motor assembly

forward or back until belt is at proper

tension or loose enough to remove belt.

Tighten motor assembly mounting bolts.

NOTE: Insure motor and arbor sheaves

are lined up according to previous step.

Clean Wheels on Rolling Table:

During daily visual inspection, check to be sure the wheels on the rolling
table move smoothly and that there is no debris in the wheel tracks. If dirt is
found in the wheel tracks remove it and clean wheels at this time. (Figure 16)
No lubrication is necessary for the wheels. Replace damaged or worn
wheels.
