IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Please read these instructions carefully and retain them for future reference.

This product is only for domestic (home) use.

Before connecting the appliance, please check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the appliance is in

accordance with the mains voltage in your home.

Please locate the appliance near to the power socket.

Warning: This appliance must be earthed.

The appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or

mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or

instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly

qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

This appliance is designed for use with the supplied accessories only. Do not use with any other cooking

containers or any other accessories.

Do not open the lid when cooking.

The main unit and accessories will be hot during operation. Never touch hot metallic parts of the unit or

accessories before they have cooled down.

The appliance must not be immersed in water or any other liquid, especially when it is plugged into a

power source.

The appliance must be on a level, stable and reasonably heat-resistant surface before being plugged in.

Do not place the appliance near a heat source, and make sure that no hard objects fall on the machine

and damage it.

When finished using the appliance, unplug the power plug from the power source. Be sure not to pull the

power cord; grip the power plug itself.

• In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be

supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly

switched on and off by the utility.

• Your appliance, on first use, may emit light smoke and some odour for a little while; this is just the excess

coating being heated off the inside of the appliance.

This is not cause for concern, and should stop after a few minutes.
