Power Source

Unwind the AC power cord at the back of the unit and connect it to a power

outlet.

Radio Operation

1. Select the desired band by switching the BAND selector (10).

2. Adjust the volume level by turning the VOLUME (3) Control.

3. Select the desired station by turning the TUNING KNOB (2). Make sure the selected

band do match up with the station selected.

External Antenna

The unit is provided with a wire antenna for Fm reception. Move the wire until the

reception is clear. Do not connect the Fm antenna to any external antenna. Am reception

would be improved by relocating the unit.

Cassette Operation

1. Turn the unit on, insert a tape through the CASS DOOR (5). The tape will slide into

the cassette mechanism and start playing. The radio function will be off automatically

once the tape is in the slot.

2. Adjust the volume level by turning the VOLUME (3) Control.

3. For fast forwarding, press the EJECT / F.F. (4) half way in. By press the(4) again, will

stop the fast forwarding and return the cassette to the playing mode.

4. To stop and eject the cassette, press the EJECT / F.F. (4) in completely. The radio

operation will resume.

5. When one side of the tape finish playing, the cassette will stop and the radio will

resume.

NOTE: Remove the tape from the unit when is not in use or when listening to the radio.

Time set

Turn the Time Setting knob (8), located at the back of the unit, anticlockwise to set the

time.

NOTE: The clock will not function when the AC power is not connected.

POLARIZED ELECTRICAL PLUG

INSTRUCTIONS

This product is equipped with a polarized alternating current line plug (a plug having

one blade wider than the other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way.

This is a safety feature, If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try

reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact you electrician to replace

your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the purpose of the polarized plug.

TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE

The unit is not functioning

* The AC power cord is not connected to a power outlet.

* The unit is not turned on : rotate the VOLUME knob from the OFF position

past the “click’’ to turn on the unit.

No radio

* The function switch is not in the correct position. Turn function switchinsert to

RADIO.

* Adjust the VOLUME knob.

* Rotate the TUNING knob to find a radio station.

Cassette tape cannot be inserted

* The cassette tape is inserted in the wrong position.

No cassette playback

* The cassette tape is not pushed all the way in.

* Adjust the volume knob.

* The cassette has reached the end of the side being played. Open cassette tape

door, take out tape, flip over the cassette and reinsert.
