Names and Functions of Parts
Front View (With the Eject Tray Closed)
A OPEN Lever
Pull this toward you to open the front unit.
B Power button
Press this to turn on the scanner. When pressed, the power
indicator is lit.
Press this button again to turn off the power.
The power button lights or flashes as follows depending on the
scanner status.
C Document Eject Tray
Open this for scanning. Scanned documents are output here.
D Eject Tray Support
This opens when scanning thin documents. Scanned documents
are arranged in the tray by supporting and lifting up the document
eject tray from the bottom.
E Document Feed Tray
Place the document.
F Document Guides
Align the document guides with both edges of the document to
ensure that the document feeds straightly.
