Erasing the SD card
1. Swipe down from the top edge of the screen with one finger.
2. Tap All settings > storage sense.
3. Tap the SD card storage bar, and then tap format SD card.
Freeing up phone storage
Need more space to install a new app? There are a few things you can do
to free up phone storage.
§ Remove apps and games that you don't use anymore. See
Uninstalling an app on page 182.
§ Change the default save location for photos, videos, music, and
podcasts. See

§ Delete email messages that you don't need.
§ Delete maps that you don't use. See Downloading and managing
maps on page 83.
§ Save files documents to your OneDrive and then delete them from
your phone.
§ Use the Windows Phone app to save files such as music, podcasts,
photos, and videos to your computer and then delete them from
your phone.
Check windowsphone.com to see if your computer is compatible
with the Windows Phone app.
