Connections: Standard Wiring

1. Make sure amplifier is off.

2. Prepare one length of speaker (with + and - leads) wire per speaker.

3. Connect negative (-) speaker wire to the negative (black) speaker binding post.

4. Connect positive (+) speaker wire to the positive (red) speaker binding post.

5. Be sure there are no stray metal strands.

6. Connect positive and negative speaker wire leads to amplifier binding posts.

7. Turn on amplifier.

Configuration

A. Choose ‘front’ if the speakers are mounted flanking a wall-mounted flat screen

TV, or if you prefer a directional sound for your surround speakers. Only the

front-firing tweeter will play, and the two side tweeters will be disabled, as will

the ‘bipole/dipole’ switch.

B. Choose ‘sides’ if you prefer a more diffused sound—this is ideal for use as a

surround speaker. The side-firing tweeters will play and the front-firing tweeter

will be disabled.

C. IF you chose ‘sides’, you may select between ‘bipole’ and ‘dipole’.

D. Bipole offers some diffusion. The side tweeters will be in-phase.

E. Dipole offers maximum diffusion. The side tweeters will be out-of-phase.

Note:

We offer these three selections as a sort of ‘seasoning’ for your audio or theater

system. Our suggestions above are well-grounded, but you will do no harm by ex-

perimenting and seeing which settings you prefer.
