Backing Up Your Data

Backing up your journals is a good

idea, in case you inadvertently delete a

journal or entry. A “backup” is a copy

of all of your WinJournal journals and

entries. By default, WinJournal is set

to automatically backup your data on

a daily basis. Change the interval at

which WinJournal backs up your data

by editing the settings in the Security

tab in Preferences.

The backup file is stored by default

here:

My Documents\My Win

Journals\WinJournal.wjb

Note: The backup file won't be readily

accessible by applications other than

WinJournal, but is used by WinJournal

to restore your journal and entry data.

Note: To restore journals and entries

from backup, select "Restore Journals

from Backup ..." from the Journals

menu. Restoring from backup

overwrites all of your journal and entry

data with the data stored in the

backup file.

Hint: You should regularly backup all

the information on your computer.
