Maintenance Recommendations

Your Rocket carts have been designed to withstand the daily rigor of normal use and to perform as
expected throughout their service life with minimal maintenance. While special cases may exist, the
care and maintenance of the carts is your responsibility. By following the procedures listed below,
you can be sure that your purchase will have a long and useful life. We strongly recommend that you
perform a thorough cleaning and routine maintenance every 6 months or more frequently if circum-
stances dictate. The carts should be serviced by a trained in-house associate, or a qualifi ed service
company.

IF CARTS REQUIRE
CLEANING:

Take carts out of the store, and into a secured

corner of your parking lot, away from cars and
shoppers when cleaning.

When using a power washer do not exceed

1500 psi of water pressure or 150 degrees F. of
water
temperature. Too much pressure or heat can
damage the fi nish on your shopping carts.

Remember to check with your local and state

regulations regarding runoff of detergents or
cleaners.

Allow carts to air-dry completely before return-

ing them to the store.

Never use a solvent or a degreaser on the

bearings of your carts. If the casters are making
excessive noise use a caster-manufacturer rec-
ommended oil or grease.

Move carts prior to performing any nearby build-

ing maintenance such as cleaning, or spraying
for pests, to avoid getting damaging chemicals on
the cart fi nish.

REPLACE WORN
COMPONENTS.

Parts such as handles, shelves, hardware,

side panels, latches and casters can be easily
replaced during routine maintenance. Certain
repairs may require a higher level of mechanical
expertise and knowledge. Please contact us if
you are unsure of how to conduct any necessary
repair.

You can fi nd a complete list of replacement parts

at the end of this manual..

STORE CARTS INDOORS

The coating on your Rocket carts has been de-

signed to withstand normal exposure to moisture,
prolonged exposure will eventually cause rust
and damage to your carts.

Avoid storing carts outdoors or near water

sources

Do not store carts outdoors, under a tarp or any

other wrapping. This will trap moisture around the
carts and cause damage to the cart fi nish

CHECK SAFETY LABELS

Using this guide, check that all labels are

legible and in place. If this condition is not satis-
fi ed, re-order a label replacement kit.
