[1] Left-hand side base plate

[1] Right-hand side base plate

[1] Ratchet driver

[1] Extension

[1] 13mm Socket

[1] 16mm Socket

[6] Long-reach nuts

[4] M8 x 20mm Hex socket bolts

[1] 6mm Hex key wrench

[1] Aluminum tie-bar


1. Park MINI on a level surface and remove the [6] 13mm hex

nuts (3 on each side) on top of the front strut towers

2. Mount and evenly tighten the NM base plate to strut towers

using special long-reach nuts – torque to 34 Nm (25 ft-lbs.).
NOTE:

Hand thread all nuts to be certain that shoulder of nut

centers into NM base plate holes before torquing.

3. Attach NM aluminum tie-bar to base plate on one side at this

time with [1] M8 x 20mm hex socket bolts supplied. Do NOT
tighten at this time.

4. On opposite side of vehicle, adjust billet-end clevis holes to

match-up to base plate hose. In order to slide clevis onto
base plate, rotate bar as necessary. NOTE: Adjust so that an
equal amount of thread is exposed on each side of tie-bar.

5. Install and tighten all [4] M8 x 20mm hex socket bolts using a

6mm hex key wrench.

6. Now hand tighten locking collar on each side of tie-bar.

Installation is complete.
